Target disk flowmeters are a reliable and effective solution in processes in which the operating conditions cannot be defined completely. The one we are presenting today is a good example.
A few months ago we were asked if a DN250 DP65 model flowmeter, supplied in 1991, could be fitter with an electronic transmitter with 4-20 mA analog output, so that it was not necessary to change the flowmeter since it was still working properly.
After 26 years!
The truth is that it is possible although the incorporation of the electronic transmitter entails the replacement of the indicator box with a current one prepared to contain the transmitter. Obviously afterwards it is necessary to install the instrument into the flow rig so that proper mechanical and electronic calibration will be done.
