General conditions of sale and guarantees
The following General Conditions of Sale apply to all offers and supplies made by Tecfluid S.A. (Hereinafter, the Seller).
The order from the customer (hereinafter the Buyer) and reception of this order by the Seller means the unreserved acceptance of these General Conditions of Sale.

All information attached to offers or supply of orders (documents, data, materials, etc.) belongs to the Seller or its suppliers, and it is part of its intellectual and / or industrial property, so it is expressly forbidden its use, copy or transfer of use to third parties by the Buyer for any other purpose than the fulfillment of the order, except with the prior written consent of Seller.
Seller reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the information included in its catalogs, manuals, website, etc., since this is for guidance and non-binding.
TECFLUID S.A., company dedicated to the design, manufacture and commercialization
of instrumentation for fluids, under the motto: INTEGRAL QUALITY, assumes to
impress to the entire process of its responsibility, the application of a Quality System,
comparable, in accordance with the UNE EN ISO 9001: 2015
The TECFLUID Quality is the result of a Quality Management program based on the
following concepts:
I.- Achieve the maximum customer satisfaction by applying criteria with a good relationship between quality, costs and delivery time.
II.- Process all TECFLUID products in accordance with the most current quality
standards, investigating progressively optimization and differential quality in the
market, as well as ensuring compliance with the CE Directives applicable to our
products.
III.- Advance, specify and develop the client’s requirements, tuning effectively with
their needs.
IV.- Promote at all times the management of Quality as a participatory task at all
levels of the company and in all types of activities.
V.- Instruct, document, equip and protect the technical distribution network
TECFLUID S.A., extending the TECFLUID quality and service to the user with the aim of
safeguarding our brand prestige at all times.
VI.- Establish measurable quality objectives, monitor them and ensure their compliance.
VII.- Make the technical and human resources that are under the responsibility of the
Management competitive and profitable, in order to achieve the economic objectives
of TECFLUID S.A. with total guarantee of prestige and quality.
The Quality System of TECFLUID S.A. is a responsibility of the whole company; it has
the full support of the Management and its satisfactory fulfilment is considered a
priority objective.
The Management delegates the follow-up of the Quality system, and grants it
sufficient authority, to the Quality Manager, to make decisions in any matter related
to Quality.

The orders will be understood as firm upon receipt of the same by the Seller and can not be canceled without express written agreement between the Seller and the Buyer, including in this case the materials in the process of manufacture or finished and with customized characteristics under the Buyer’s specifications.
Any special modifications or conditions on the offer or order agreed upon by the Buyer with our Commercial Department shall be reflected in writing in the documentation of the offer made or in our order confirmation so that they are applicable. Otherwise they will have no value and our General Conditions of Sale will prevail.
The validity of the offers is of 1 month, with exceptions expressly indicated in the same ones.
Applicable tariff prices shall be those in force at the time the order is placed by the Buyer, and include standard packaging, but are understood to be exempt from taxes or fees. The taxes to be applied will be those in force at the time of the execution of the order. The prices quoted in our offers and / or order confirmations will be considered definitive unless there is a subsequent agreement between the Seller and the Buyer. In case of special conditions of sale, the prices indicated for a particular order will be valid only and exclusively for that order, and may not be extended to subsequent orders of the same characteristics unless express agreement between the Buyer and the Seller.
Tecfluid S.A. reserve the right to modify their prices due to an increase in unforeseen costs or other justified reasons upon prior notice to their customers.
The default payment conditions established by the Seller are cash payment by bank transfer before sending the material.
In special cases (special equipment, high amounts…) there is the possibility of a request from Seller of a percentage of the total amount of the order to Buyer (to be determined for each case) together with the same. Production would not start until payment of such percentage.
For other standard operations, payment terms may be applied in advance between the Buyer and the Seller. In any case, the term of payment established will be established according to current legislation.
In case of delay in payments by the Buyer, the Seller may suspend provisionally or definitively the supply.
No guarantees or withholdings will be accepted for net invoice amounts of less than 15000.00€. The maximum amount to be guaranteed will in any case exceed more than 10% of the total amount of the order, and the maximum period of application of this guarantee can not exceed two years.
Delivery times indicated in our order confirmation are approximate and consequently their non-fulfillment cannot cause a penalty with exception of those cases in which the Seller has made a particular responsibility in writing.
Deliveries of our meters will be carried out according to the tolerances on the scales and measures, depending on the final calibration conditions of the meters.
All equipment issued by the Seller will always travel on behalf of the Buyer (delivery terms “factory” – Ex Works, according to INCOTERMS 2010), and in all cases at Buyer’s risk; If there is an anomaly in the transportation, it will be the Buyer who will have to claim from the transportation agency or insurance company to cover the risks.
In particular cases, and after agreement between the Seller and the Buyer, it may be considered a CPT or CIP shipping mode, including the cost of such shipment on the invoice that the Seller issues in the name of the Buyer.
In cases of force majeure (strikes, breakdowns of manufacturing machinery, difficulty in acquiring raw materials, interception of transport, Customs closures or other official action), we decline any liability for current orders previously entered into the system.
Any consignment of equipment to our facilities or to a distributor must be previously authorized.
Shipments of material from Buyer to the Seller’s premises, whether for credit, repair or replacement, must always be made pre-paid unless prior agreement.
The Seller will not accept any responsibility for any damages caused to the equipment during transportation.
In the event that the shipment of materials is not carried out for causes imputable to the Buyer, a maximum period of 30 calendar days is established from the date of manufacture before proceeding with the cancellation of the order.
In the event of an express agreement between the Buyer and the Seller for the storage of material at the Seller’s premises, a fee of 10.00 € / week will be applied for this concept as of the third week after notification that the material is ready for shipment.

I need a flowmeter, which technical data should I supply so that you can help me to select the correct instrument for my application and provide a quotation to it?
In order to help you with the selection of the device that best meets your requirements, there are some technical data of your working application that are important to know:
For liquids and gases:
– Process fluid
– Approximate flow range
– Compatible materials with the process fluid
– Working pressure and temperature (mandatory for the sizing of flowmeters for gas applications)
– Minimum and maximum pressure and temperature
– Liquid density and viscosity at working temperature for liquids and gas density at 1bar abs and 20ºC for gases
–Presence of suspended solids, concentration, particles size and hardness
– Connection size
In some flowmeters we will also need to know the flow direction, fluid conductivity, classified area installations, need of switches and/or transmitters… etc
I need a level instrument, which technical data should I supply so that you can help me to select the correct instrument for my application and provide a quotation to it?
In order to help you with the selection of the device that best meets your requirements, there are some technical data of your working application that are important to know:
– Density of the liquid at working temperature (Viscosity as additional information)
– Working and maximum working pressure and temperature
– Required length to be measured. Depending on the required level indicator type it will be a must to know:
- Series LT: Distance between flanges
- Series LC/LE/LP/LTDR: Rod length
- Series LU: Tank height
- Series LS: Measuring distance
– Compatible materials with the process fluid
– Connection size
– Purpose for which you need the level instrument
Which problem can I have with my variable area flowmeter (series PS, 6000, 60M1, 2000, M21, SC250) if the working conditions are different from the calibration conditions?
The variable area flowmeters depend on the working conditions they have been calibrated for.
When process fluid is a liquid and there are density and/or viscosity variations, they will affect the flow reading that may be higher or lower than the actual flow rate. Also, as in this case both parameters depend on the temperature, any change on them would affect the flow reading.
In case of a gas, as it is a compressible fluid, the flow reading is directly related to the working pressure and temperature, so due to this any change on them will provide false readings.
This is why working conditions must be perfectly defined in order to ensure the proper variable area flowmeter performance.
Does the price of the equipment include the transportation freight costs?
No, the transportation costs are in all cases at the Buyer’s charge. Tecfluid S.A. delivery terms are “Ex-works”, according to INCOTERMS 2010.
I would like my instrument to be recalibrated, what should I do?
You will have to notify the shipment to Tecfluid S.A. by means of the “Equipment Repair Form” that you can fill in on After Sales section of this website. The device/s must be sent at freight cost paid to the following address:

Before proceeding with the calibration we make a general inspection of the device and we send a quotation for repair if anything wrong in its performance is detected.
I would like my instrument to be calibrated, which kind of certificates can you issue?
Tecfluid S.A. can issue a Certificate of Conformity with the Calibration for the instrument at no charge if you require so in your order. Calibration Flow Certificates with Accuracy Test Report and Calibration Flow and mA Certificates with Accuracy Test Report are also available. On them we check that the device is within the allowable error. They both have a cost that must be checked directly with Tecfluid S.A.
Although our flow rigs are not certified by ENAC (notified body) we can issue certificates with traceability to international standards.
I would like to send my instrument to be repaired, where and how should I do it?
You will have to notify the shipment to Tecfluid S.A. by means of the “Equipment Repair Form” that you can fill in on After-Sales section of this website. The device/s must be sent at freight cost paid to the following address:

It is important that you specify the failure or defect detected on the instrument so that our technical department can quickly determine the reason of it.
Will I be notified of the cost of repair prior to it?
As soon as our technical department check the device, the After-Sales department will send to you a quotation for repair including a small report about the reason of the failure and the costs of spare parts that must be necessary for it.
Prior to repair, Tecfluid S.A. always issue a quotation for it for your approval unless otherwise indicated.
What happens if I do not want to repair the instrument after receiving the quotation?
Tecfluid S.A. do not charge for the inspection of the device to make the quotation for repair except in cases where the inspection involves a thorough cleaning of the instrument in order to eliminate any harmful component to the health of Tecfluid S.A. workers.
If you choose not to repair the instrument a written notice shall be sent indicating the address where it must be sent back and the transportation agency you would like us to use, since transportation costs are paid by the Buyer.
If you want the instrument to be scrapped, a written authorisation must be sent to Tecfluid S.A.
Which is Tecfluid S.A. warranty period?
Tecfluid S.A. guarantee their products for a period of 24 months from the sale, against defects in materials, manufacture or operation.
Excluded from this guarantee are failures which can be attributed to improper use or application different of that specified in the order, handling by personnel not authorized by Tecfluid S.A., improper handling or abuse.
The guarantee for repaired or replaced components applies 6 months after repair or replacement.
My instrument is under warranty but it does not work or it shows an error, what should I do to get it repaired?
You will have to notify the shipment to Tecfluid S.A. by means of the “Equipment Claim Form” that you can fill in on After-Sales section of this website. Please specify on the form that you are asking for inspection/repair under warranty.

I would like to return the instrument for credit, what should I do?
In agreement with the Sales Engineer of Tecfluid S.A. you will be able to return the instrument by means of the “Equipment Return Form” that you can fill in on After Sales section of this website. The device/s must be sent at freight cost paid to the following address:

Tecfluid S.A. established a period of 20 calendar days from the shipment of the instrument in order to accept material returns.
Unless otherwise agreed with the Sales Engineer of Tecfluid S.A. and after checking the device condition, a minimum penalty of 10% of its value will be applied to the returned material, and may be higher depending on product type and conditions of reception.
I had problems with the delivery of my order and the forwarder, who should I complain?
As our conditions of delivery are always “Ex-works” (according to INCOTERMS 2010) and it is the Buyer who decides the transportation agency to be used for his orders, it is the Buyer himself who should complain about the incident to the transportation agency or insurance company to cover the risks.
I want to make a complaint, how can I do it?
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our products or service please let us know so that we can take into account your comments to improve our service in the future.
