For Tecfluid it is usual to supply equipment adapted to the needs of the client. In this case, there are variable area flowmeters with special PVC reduction cones.
Our client needed several flowmeters for a water treatment and purification application, in different sizes, low cost, with excellent reading and reduced weight. In addition, its installation should be as simple as possible.
In addition, since there was already an existing installation and its modification was not feasible, it was necessary to use PVC solvent sockets reduction cones to the rotameters to adapt the instruments to it.
Therefore, the ideal solution was to supply variable area flowmeters with special PVC reduction cones. Our PS series, with plastic tube, was chosen for this application due to its characteristics.
The float was made of PVC+Pb due to materials compatibility since the fluid needed the contact parts of the equipment to be made of plastic material.
Given the flow of the application, the floats installed were type ACT (Tecfluid nomenclature), whose reading point is different from the conical floats that we are more used to see.

The plastic tube variable area flowmeters PS series are flowmeters for liquids and gases of very compact construction and low cost, with local indication with scales calibrated in l/h, l/min, %, etc.
They can fit switches that allow detecting a specific flow rate and providing an alarm signal to a remote device. They can also fit too a resistive sensor with 4-20 mA transmitter proportional to flow rate.
