From Tecfluid we collaborated with the “Robotix” team so they could get the pieces needed to build and program a robot capable of solving a series of missions established by the competition.
Sergio and Dídac are two children aged 9 years who perform the extracurricular activity of Robotics in the Pare Manyanet College of Les Corts in Barcelona. On February 28th and with other colleagues, they participated for the first time in the qualifying tournament of El Vendrell for access to the Grand Final of Trash Trek Challenge of Junior First Lego League. This is an exciting competition that motivates creativity of children and encourages them to explore the world of waste management, subject for the challenge this year. In this competition and under worldwide basis, more than 230,000 young people participate.
From Tecfluid we collaborated with the “Robotix” team so that they could get the necessary components for the construction and programming of a robot for the project, which would be able to solve a series of missions established by the competition.
For 6 weeks and by teams, with the help of a teacher, participants worked to create a model / robot with elements and Lego engines that perform different actions by applying concepts of maths and science in real life, presenting their project and sharing what they learned with the other teams in the tournament.
The Tecfluid team did a good job getting classified in tenth place among a total of 20 teams. For all members it has been an unforgettable experience with hard work, obstacles, dedication and nerves but with large doses of laughter, learning, overcoming challenges and companionship.
From Tecfluid we want to thank them for giving us the opportunity to participate in a project that promotes interest in science of younger people and promotes values such as companionship, friendly competition or share experiences and knowledge.
