A turbine flowmeter of TM series with special characteristics to measure the flow of liquid ammonia for obtaining mineral fertilizers for agricultural crops.
A turbine type flowmeter, model TM44, with special characteristics was what the end user needed, with ANSI 300 # flange “Large groove“, Exd enclosure and special length to be adapted to the existing installation, electronic converter CH420L with HART communication protocol ®. These were the special requirements that our distributor in Ukraine, CSC Automation, needed and that we recently manufactured following their application instructions.
The end user, PJSC Azot (Cherkasy, Ukraine), belongs to Group DF, one international group of companies concentrated in fertilizers and titanium production and gas distribution being the 4th biggest producer of ammonia in the world.
PJSC Azot is the largest ammonium nitrate producer in Ukraine and specializes in producing other nitrogen-based mineral fertilizers such as ammonia, urea, and UAN.

The Series TM turbine type flowmeter is used to measure the liquid ammonia flow, in the ammonia production process to obtain mineral fertilizers for agricultural crops.
The flowmeter is included in the concatenation: valve – filter – flow straightener – flowmeter.

The device incorporates the electronic converter CH420 that allows the user to program beginning and end of scale and provides flow rate indication and totalization. It also allows the transmission of the 4-20 mA signal up to 3000m.
Hart Protocol ® allows the communication with the flowmeter remotely.
Explosion proof enclosure is required since the instrument is installed in a hazardous area. Our ADF60V Ex proof enclosure is ATEX Exd IIC T6 certified.
